Billboard & Beermats
If you have ever visited the Drapers, you will probably have met Garvan, the landlord. Rhys and I first met Garvan after a brief at university, which required us to meet with a local business and propose a redesign. After pitching our design, he said, “Follow me”, bringing us to the billboard, just up the road from the pub.
It’s a place like no other, full of character, conversation and humour. It’s Garvan if he were a pub. We wanted to make sure we could capture this in the billboard. It features four beer mats, based on existing designs, but featuring some of the pub’s less-than-positive reviews. Reviews that capture the soul of the Drapers Arms.
Located on Gloucester Road, Bristol, this 6 metre wide billboard could be seen by thousands a day as they passed for circa 6 weeks. It caught the attention of 6 different national newspapers.
Brand Identity
Full identity for Sage Wealth, a Salisbury-based chartered financial planner. After meeting with Michelle, the number one message I knew I needed to convey was trust. Prospective clients need to have confidence in whom they choose to trust with their money. The Sage Leaf ‘S’ monogram can be used as a standalone logo or produced into a pattern, portraying growth.
Using Sharp Type’s Sharp Sans and Ogg, I was able to create something elegant that captures Sage. I chose to use a dark purple to portray a luxurious and established feel, using Indian Red to make the design stand out from other financial planning businesses.

A book of 200 windows.
Structures in Salisbury forever seek to be taller, but an outside authority pushes them down.
Plots, structures, premises, abodes seek to offer their inhabitants views without being allowed to obstruct others. Such abodes seek to offer their inhabitants a ‘cathedral view’, and such abodes with such ‘cathedral views’ become more desirable. This is often through improvised means.
